Username

    I appear to have two accounts and am having difficulty logging into the original (correct) account that reflects my original (preferred) username. The “recover password” tool is not working (I do not get an email).

    What is the username and/or the URL of the website you’re trying to access?

    The current username is “samueld5664.” I am also registered under the username “samueldlong” but am unable to recover the password for that account. The account t with username “samueldlong” is my preferred account.

    Hi there,

    On the password reset tool enter your username (samueldlong) and then check all the email addresses you have access to for the reset message. That’s the only way to recover access to that account.

    Thank you. Yes, I have tried that a few times but am not getting the email with the reset link. Are you able to check the email address that the link is going to? It should be one of the following:

    (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    I am not sure which of those I used to set up the account. I suspect you can’t tell me what email address is set up in the account t but perhaps you can tall me if it is (or is not) one of those?

    The email for user account samueldlong is not any of those. Which would explain why you are unable to receive a password reset email.

    I’d encourage you to try any old/random email you can think of from your past.
