I just tried to start a wordpress account and it shows that one was already started with my email. I was able to change the password to access the account. The user name is martacorwin64. That’s not me. I never set that up. I tried to change it to tayloraclark and it’s not changing. Could someone have tied to set up an account using my email address? I would like to build a website using WP, but need martacorwin deleted. I do not want to delete and have to wait 30 days to open a new account with my email address.
I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Setting up an account here does require verifying via an activation email, so if that is your email address, you definitely did set up this account last year (or, someone with access to your email did).
There is already a user here with username “tayloraclark” so you won’t be able to change that. They’ve been here for quite some time, which might be why you chose the username you currently have.
You can change to any available username by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/change-your-username/

I definitely didn’t set that up. Not sure it was ever verified. I’ll try to reach wordpress to fix.
