  hello,
  I need help! I changed my username and want to change it back to the old one, however I can’t because it currently says it’s already taken (used to be by me!)
  Can someone please tell me how to resolve this?

  Hi Sarah!

  Unfortunately, WordPress.com has a rule where neither you or anyone else can re-use old username (probably so that nobody can impersonate others, among other reasons).

  From http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/ :

  Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use.
