  Hi, I am trying to create a wordpress user name / blog with my first name. It is apparently ‘reserved’. I however don’t find any blog at this address firstname.wordpress.com. Any chance I can get wordpress to unreserve this name for me?

  When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.

  If and only if you have registered the matching username account log out, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies. Then log in under the correct username account and as the blog is reserved for you and you will register it after logging in under the correct username account.

  However, if you changed your username then the blog URL will not be available for use under the new username account.
