Username Change Issue – Possibly "nickname" and "user_nicename" are out of sync.

  I recently changed my username to correspond with my blog. The change seemed to be fine, but there is an issue. When I post a new blog post, it shows the author name correctly, but the author page links to “oldusername-2”. I wish to remove this old username and not have it appear anywhere (even in this question, please).

  I’ve done research and I assume that the “nickname” and “user_nicename” are out of sync. Would one of the mods/staff be so kind as to please assist me with updating this so that my username and author name are both my current username?

  Hi,

  You’re absolutely correct. I’ve fixed it so that they’re in sync again and confirmed on your site the author slug is as expected.
