Username correction

My username under my photo is correct but it below it is part of an email that shouldn’t be there. How do I remove that part?

Where does the photo and the part of an email that you refer to appear?

I had a terrible job trying to join. It would not accept my username of Sharone Stevenson. I tried it over and over again for hours! Then I started again and when it came to User Name it put in part of my email address: which is radart@telus,net, and it put in @radart. I put the 1 with it just hoping it would work and it did. But, when the photo shows, underneath it are the words @radart1 and I need to remove it. Or maybe this is supposed to be there, and doesn’t show on any program where I use it.
When I login it comes up with User Name: @radart1. Is this normal for everyone? If so, do I need to change the figure 1 if no one sees it.
Sorry this is such a long explanation. I forgot to mention that also it wouldn’t bring in my Username which is Sharone Stevenson, that goes with the photo, but finally I did manage to get it in. Hope this helps to describe what I am trying to do.

Thanks for that information. A WordPress.com username can’t have any spaces between words. Perhaps that’s why Sharone Stevenson wasn’t accepted. The username sharonestevenson might work, if it hasn’t been used previously.

It’s just making suggestions. You can ignore the suggestions and change it to whatever you want, as long as the username is valid and hasn’t been used before.

Which photo?

Re my photo with my name under it that I will use whenever I write to a program. This is how I found it: After I login using radart1 and my password, I go up to the tiny circle with my photo in it on upper right on the blue line, and it says – ‘Update your profile, personal settings, and more.” The photo is on the left and says Sharone Stevenson with @radart1 underneath it. My question is, does that @radart1 show anywhere I might be using Gravatar, or shall I just leave it as is? I tried Change Your Username, and it didn’t work, then I read that you have to have another email address before it will accept it, so I haven’t been able to change it as I don’t have another address and don’t want one.
