Username does not exist
-
Hello,
When I try to login to my WordPress account, I get the message that my username does not exist. This happened overnight and now I have no way of logging in. I’m logged into an older website account now in order to post this question to the forum. When I go to my website, the edit bar shows at the top as though I’m logged in but when I click on any of the buttons like ‘edit page’ it just goes to a blank white screen that is fully loaded with nothing on it. How can I re-access my account? If you can’t answer the question here, how may I access paid support to resolve the issue and reclaim access to my account (without logging into my account since I am unable to)?

first things first: what wordpress.com account or what website are you trying to log in to?

We’re trying to login to brianmclaren.net.
The page shows up fine – but we can’t get into the admin page.

You are in the wrong forum as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform, https://www.whoishostingthis.com/#search=brianmclaren.net.
Support for site using the open source wordpress.org ist at https://wordpress.org/support/ -
Hi there!
I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
