username exists – but I think it's me

  Hi,
  I’ve previously started the process of changing my username before but didn’t commit. When I went to do it today, it says that the username (martinemarie) already exits, but I think it’s from when I was trying to do it before. I searched martinemarie and nothing came up, so I don’t think someone else has taken it. Is it possible to claim it?

  You’re welcome. You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

  It’s more a matter of wanting to change the name that appears when I post comments, etc. See above – it shows up as traveltinie. I want to change it from that name to martinemarie.
