Username: Hacked
-
Hello,
So I tried to log in today at mywebsitename.com/admin
my password didn’t work and my new username was: “hacked”
I reset my password and I can log in. Everything looks normal but under my username, it still says: “Username: Hacked”
Now I am extremely upset because I fear this hacker has installed some type of crazy stuff that is secretly active behind the scenes.
What should I do?
How screwed am I?
Is there anything I can do to fix this in any way???Thanks

Without a link to the site you need help with, we cannot give you an accurate reply.
If by chance you are talking about a site using the standalone WP software, you’ll want to post at the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on that page.
Standalone WP and WordPressdotcom are different entities, with separate documentation and support; more information about the differences can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You should also be able to contact your web hosting provider for assistance with this issue.
