username is taken – by me. can't change it.

    I have 2 blogs going on by accident. I am trying to register my main blog with my username : alinabeynun but when I’ve tried to change the username on BOTH accounts, it says “that username is already taken” it’s not since I’m the only Alina Beynun in the world so what are my options here? I want to change out all my old stuff on my old site with new information and it’s SO confusing :( Would love help. (side note, it’s abeynun and I need it to be alinabeynun since everyone thinks my name is abey.. ) thank you!!

    If the websites you are referring to are to be in the same account then this issue should not arise. As long as you are logged in when you sign up for a new website, the website will be included in the account that you are logged into. You may have any number of blogs under the same username/account.

    If the “main blog” you refer to is to be in a separate account than the account with the preferred username, then it must have a separate username. WordPress does not allow a username to be used more than once. Once used it can’t be switched to another account. However, the solution is fairly easy. Just move the “main blog” to the account with the username you prefer. See the Moving a Blog support page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/. If you decide to go this route, you may then wish to change your primary blog on the account. You may do so at Personal Settings, or at Account Settings.
