Username link help
-
Okay so, my username is “baileysuesays” because I used to have a blog called that. I ended up deleting it because of some issues (long story) and made a new blog called “justbaileysue”. Now here comes my question. See, if I comment on something or whatever and someone clicks my name it attempts to take them back to my old blog baileysuesays. And of course it says something along the lines of “blog no longer exists”. I thought that maybe If I changed my user name to justbaileysue that that would fix the problem, but it appears that the name has already been taken. So, I was wondering what I should do to fix this problem. (problem being I need my username to link to my justbaileysue blog).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oops, I didn’t mean user name, I meant just name. Like, when I comment it shows my name “Bailey Sue” as a link which is what links to baileysuesay instead of justbaileysue (the one I want it to link to).

Go to users > personal settings in your dashboard and under “account details near the bottom, change the URL in the “website” field and then save the changes.

I did, and it worked with my username. if you click on my username, it does link to the correct blog. But, I meant my actual name when I leave a comment. Not my username.

It will link there as well. The forums will always show your username.
The one thing though is that this change you made will only be for comments made after the change. The name/website/email is saved in the blog’s database at the time of the comment is made so there is no way to change it retroactively.
