Username links to old deleted blog and not new blog

I have changed my Personal Settings under Users in the Dashboard, but the username still links to an old, dead blog (page says username.wordpress.com is no longer available.) Is there a delay in updating info or maybe some other place that needs to be updated by me? Thanks.

Users > Personal Settings is the correct place to select the correct URL for the primary blog that you want linked to your username. There ought not to be a delay but do note that changing a primary blog it is not retroactive. Comments you made prior to the change will be linked to whatever the previous primary blog URL was. If this is not working for you and you are sure you clicked “save changes” after your change the primary blog selected then you will have to contact Staff. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

Thanks timethief. The odd thing is, it’s linking to an old-old site. These changes were made a while ago. It’s really unfortunate, because I think this will just prevent me from commenting on people’s blogs, and I’m sure I’m not the only one out there that feels this way.

Staff can change this for you so please do contact them.
P.S. Sign out of WordPress.com and post comments as a guest. That allows you to enter a username and the URL for the blog of your choice. I do it all the time as I have more than one username.
