Username mess

    Hey there,

    I just messed up when registering a new wordpress blog.

    I picked my favourite name (it was still free!) and registered, but unfortunately I was still logged in with my old account. So now the new blog is registered under my old account. No problem – I could transfer it to any account. But I cannot pick my favourite username now! I think it was blocked automatically when registering the new blog with the same name.

    Please, is there a way of accessing this new username somehow? It obviously belongs to my new blog, cos the name would be identical.

    I’d be so happy if this worked somehow… am a bit angry with myself cos of this mess now.

    Pretty sure you’re stuck with what you have now. Even if you were to delete the new blog, the name would be lost permanently.

    Might be worth talking to staff, though http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
