Username Not Available

    I recently asked a question about anonymous blogging and I was suggested that I use a completely different account which is what I’m going to do now. The problem is the username I want to use has already been “chosen” but I have a feeling it’s because I got the blog with this account.

    I’d really like to have that username. I was planning on transferring the blog to the new account once I created it, but I can’t create the account because the username is not available.

    For example:

    blog1.wordpress.com and blog2.wordpress.com are maintained by user blog1. blog1 wants to post anonymously on blog2.wordpress.com but can’t because wordpress doesn’t have that function so blog1 decides to register a new account under the username blog2 and transfer blog2.wordpress.com to that account but he can’t because said username is not avaliable.

    A little help please?

    Contact staff directly on this as I suspect they can work something out for you.

    Also know that you can always change the display name on any account at users > my profile, and it will use that name for both posts and comments made on that account.

    I will try and contact the staff then. If worse comes to worse I’ll just choose an irrelevant username. Thanks for your help.
