Username retrieval
-
I tried to get access to create a new blog using a name I had used to create an account 5 years ago, but in trying to have the domain become available, I changed the domain from megancorsano.wordpress.com (which is the one I want now) to corsanomd.wordpress.com and then deleted the second account. I thought this would free up the original one, megancorsano.wordpress.com, but now I still don’t have the ability to create an account with that domain. Since I am the original user, is there any way for me to retrieve that domain or is it inactive forever?
Thanks!

Changing a URL is meant to be a permanent and irreversible act. No changed or deleted blog URLs are recycled here, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
