Username that is taken, but at the same time doesn't exist?

Hi,

Everywhere my username is WeAreGeek. I also own the domains wearegeek.nl and wearegeek.net

However, I cannot register as WeAreGeek at WordPress.com:
“Sorry, but the username wearegeek isn’t available”.

Nor can I recover the password:
“I’m sorry, but we weren’t able to find a user with that login information.”

Or the account:
“We could not find an account that matches your login.”

Also wearegeek.wordpress.com doesn’t exist (anymore).

What should I do?
Can you help me?

I am sorry but you cannot claim a deleted blog URL. No one can use a deleted blog URL regardless of who registered it. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled here. You can confirm by reading:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/delete-blog/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

However, you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

PS – blog names can’t be turned into user names – just the way the system works here

Ok, thanks for the quick replies.
I merely wanted to register as WeAreGeek to use Gravatar. Too bad that isn’t possible. I have to live with WeAreGeek2 then.
