Username versus name in upper right corner

  Hello – When I log in the account button in the upper right corner says “storyplanet”. But my username is splabs. I would like to change my username to also be storyplanet – but when I try this I get a message to contact “storyplanet”. How can I change my username, and what does the name in the upper left corner relate to? Is that the main account name? I setup the account a long time ago, so I can’t remember what I did back then.

  I’m sorry, that username has already been registered by somebody else. Feel free to choose a different name.

  You can simply change the name seen on your posts and comments by changing the “display name” on your Personal Settings admin panel.

  If you need to change the username itself, please follow these steps.

  So when I click in there is a button saying “storyplanet” in the upper right corner. When I click it, it displays my username which is “splabs”. So why is the button displaying “Storyplanet” if this is owned by another user – this does not make a whole lot of sense to me.
