Username vs blog

I am soooo new to wordpress. I need some serious help. What is the difference between having a username and a blog? I signed up about 2 months ago with a blog (mardenacrimaldi.wordpress.com) and just today I got “just a username” account (happyhealthyandhot). Both have different emails attached to them. I didn’t realize I signed up for just a username at firs,t then I thought it was no big deal… I however, I was wrong I guess. I find now that I can not change my appearance on my user account and none of the features I wanted are there. I searched thru the support issues and forums and sent an invite to my old blog from my new one but received nothing. So I sent an invite from my old one to the new one… still received nothing. How can I get my username to a blog account? Or do I really need to do that? I don’t want to lose my username.

The thing is, you have TWO different usernames. You have to set preferences for each of them separately. Do you want your second username to be attached to your blog? Or do you want to use it to start a new blog?

Was this the first blog you created? http://mardenacrimaldi.wordpress.com and are you the only “user” and the original Admin of that blog? If so then you cannot remove yourself as the Admin of that blog without going to Staff.
You say you signed up for another username with a different email account ie. happyhealthyandhot and sent that second username (persona) an email from mardenacrimaldi to invite that persona to become a user of mardenacrimaldi.wordpress.com but the email was not received. Others have been reporting problems with not receiving email notices as well.
How can I get my username to a blog account?
You must mean the second user name “happyhealthyandhot” because the first username “mardenacrimaldi” has a blog.
Or do I really need to do that? I don’t want to lose my username.
Which username is it that you do not wish to use? You can use the display name to the nickname “happyhealthyandhot” on the mardenacrimaldi.wordpress.com if you wish. http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/#change-display-name-nickname
Please state exactly what the optimum outcome would be for you.

Sorry I had to leave and just got back. I guess having to separate blogs would be the way to go. I’m still alittle confused. I would like to connect mardenacrimaldi to happyhealthyandhot but not the other way around. I want HH&H to be my main blog.
