username vs display name

Does my username and display name begin with the @ symbol? I notice in the top left hand corner of this my page that is displayed – in the side bar…a circle with a shadow photo and underneath ‘diannfisher’ and under that, @wgnhelo. Is this what the public will see or only mean when I am signed into my account

No WordPress.COM username or WordPress.COM display name contains the @ sign. It is only for email address use.
What’s essential for getting support is providing the URL of the site referred to and you did not do that.
Be aware that if the site is not on our wordpress.COM servers then you are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs and support forums, and many people get confused about the two.
