Username won't change

  I am new to wordpress. I would like to change the username and I keep getting a message that says to check back in a few days, which I did. How can I REALLY change my username?

  The tool should be back up sometime this week.

  If you really need to change your username now, you can register a new account, then transfer your blogs to it following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
