  I accidentally fired off a submit with an incorrect email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff), instead of the correct address: (email visible only to moderators and staff). I then tried to set up a different account but it wouldn’t let me use ponkvonsydow as my user name because the name was already taken by the faulty account I accidently set up to begin with. I got stuck with the username ponk2013. The account with the user name ponkvonsydow with the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) does not actually belong to anyone and serves no purpose. I request WordPress delete this faulty account so that I can change my user name to ponkvonsydow so my blog will reflect my pen name. I couldn’t just access the faulty account to change the user name that way because the email address for it doesn’t exist so the account never got activated.

  I think unactivated accounts go away after a certain time – but I have flagged this for the staff to help
