Username/Web address Change Question

  I am currently at localgoodness.wordpress.com but would like to change the address to a different user name (jessicaslocalgoodness.wordpress.com for example). I am doing this so I can get a .com domain name since localgoodness.com is already taken. I want to make sure if I change my username that nothing from my current blog (post content, design, etc) will be altered. Only the address will be changed.
  Is this possible?
