How do people get access to my blog? I don’t want to have to invite each and everyone who wants to read it. When I type my address (alaskaatlast.wordpress.com) into my browser, it does not show my blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It can take weeks for search engines to index your blog. It’s publishing posts, not pages that attracts search engine attention.
The process we use for verifying free hosted WordPress.com blogs with search engines is found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don’t feel panicky about this please.
WordPress.com provides the search engines with site maps. We bloggers do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/

You can set up email subscriptions by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
If you would like a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts see here >
http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/09/21/more-traffic-for-your-blog-with-the-follow-button/Find Friends Who Use WordPress > http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/05/01/find-friends/
You can customize the contact form with multiple fields, change the email address where you’ll be notified, and mark feedbacks as spam from your dashboard. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

Note: As a spammer prevention you are limited to sending out 10 invitations at one point in time. -
Search engines detect and use keywords when indexing your posts and each tag has a unique descriptive keyword term – permalink. Theoretically assigning relevent Tags/Categories to posts helps potential readers locate relevant content in search results, and increases the odds your content will be found by new readers.

THANK YOU!!! I searched for my blog on Bing and found nothing, but when I searched using Google, it popped right up! There it was! Thanks for answering what was probably a fairly stupid question.

No question is stupid. Not to worry about that. I had already checked Google for you. Your blog is indexed by Google (23 results). Best wishes for happy blogging.
