Users roles – Subscriber

  HI, I have a sudden rise in Subscribers. I am new to this and not sure what these people can do on my web site if anything??? Can someone explain to me more about the role of subscriber and why they sign up?

  That looks like a WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.
   
  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
   
  WordPress.org has complete documentation and support at: https://wordpress.org/support/

  Hi,

  Well, WordPress.com sites are hosted here (you might have noticed the new site builder when you signed up for this forum), and your site is hosted at Bluehost.

  Another clue is WordPress.com sites start with https:// and come with SSL (encryption) by default and is free, whereas you need to purchase an SSL certificate separately from Bluehost. (Did you know that Google ‘will soon shame sites that are unencrypted’?
