User's Unable to Reset Their Own Password via Link

  Hello all,

  We are currently have an issue where registered users are getting “Your password link appears to be invalid…” when they attempt to reset their password. I think I know what the issue is, but I dont know how to fix it.

  quick bit of background, we host our own wordpress sites on our internal LAN and publish them to the web via our Barracuda Web Application Firewall (WAF).

  So we have externalurl.externalname.co.uk which is then routed through the WAF to internalurl.lan.

  What I have found is that the portion of the reset url which contains the key is pasted onto the internalurl.lan address, the reset works fine. So the reset keys are only working if user’s were the use the internalurl.lan address, which is impractical.

  Is there a way of say resetting the password keys so they work off the externalurl.externalname.co.uk address rather than the internalurl.lan name? Or is there a plugin which could offer me an alternate way of resetting a user’s password without the need of a key based email.
