Users who have been granted permission still cannot access the blog

  I have just published a WordPress blog. As soon as it was published, I invited five people to become Users, each with an Author role. All five of the invited people accepted the invitation, but only three of them have been able to gain access to the blog. The other two people still cannot gain access. It may be significant that I received WordPress generated e-mails from these two people requesting access, while I never received such e-mails from the other three people who did gain access. When I received the two e-mails requesting access, I clicked on the link for each that granted access. However, these two people still cannot access the blog. Do you have any idea why invitations to people, all sent in exactly the same way, resulting in responses that were communicated to me through different channels? Do you have any idea how I these two people can gain access to the blog. They have been invited, they have accepted the invitation, and I have consented to grant them access. Why are the still not able to participate? Thank you.
