Users with own WP account can't post to my private blog

  Hi, I’ve had 2 instances of this last week: users try to post on my private blog (they are able to log in to it successfully with the password I gave them) but after they type in the post, upon entering their email they are asked for a WP username and password. And even if they type one in they cannot access my blog to post their entry successfully. With one user we resorted to having her use another email address that has nbo WP account associuated to it but this is an inconvenient solution. Does anyone have an answer? (I use the free WP if that’s any help)
