  I have tried to insert the Donate button several times on a Page. The button shows up but, when l test it, it does not work. Just text. I have tried the WP instructions given several times. There is somewhat of a conflict between the screens that tell us how to copy Email script from Paypal and the script that shows up on the WP instruction page. ????

  You must use the instructions that are specifically for wordpress.com blogs. When people have problems with posting a Paypal button here at wordpress.com what usually causes them is that they are attempting to insert the code for a encrypted Paypal button. We cannot use that code on wordpress.com blogs.

  We can only use the code for the unencyrpted PayPal button. Please try following the instructions again and be very careful as you go through the steps. http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
