Using a blog post as the static front page

Hi All,
I would like to keep the blog post I have currently up as my static front page. I know I can create a page and make that my front page, however, all the formatting is lost and I really like the display of the theme for blog posts. The theme is Pique.
Please help :(The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
