Using a “cut” in a post

  Hi! I am new to WordPress from LiveJournal, and I am really digging it. However, I can’t get the “cut” feature to work. When I add a cut, it just says “more” and hyperlinks me back to my blog’s main page. But when I edit it, the “cut” info is still there. Am I doing it wrong? Thanks in advance
