Using a different domain in WordPress

  Hi,

  So I have created a domain to use from a different host, where I want to keep it hosted. But I want to build my website through wordpress, do I need to perform the domain mapping or is there another way to do this?

  If you want to keep your domain with the current registrar & want WordPress.com to host your site you can only use the domain mapping option, please check the below link for more details:

  Also, you will need to buy a paid plan so as to use your domain at WordPress.com. you can choose from Personal, Premium, Business, or eCommerce plan to map your domain here, you can check the below link for more details on plans & its features:
