Using a domain and a subdomain with one blog.
-
At the moment my main blog is located at dokterw.me, but I also created a separate blog, used more like a microblog, located at notes.dokterw.me.
I’m thinking about adding another blog, let’s just call that news.dokterw.me for now. It will focus on privacy, security and cryptography related news stories.
What I want to do is to move dokterw.me to blog.dokterw.me and use doktew.me as a welcome page if visitors don’t go directly to the subdomains.
Now, would if I change the settings that the blog hosted on dokterw.me will show a static page, could I then have the blog part be directed to blog.dokterw.me? Or do I need to create an additional WP blog for that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can create a static Front Page for dokterw.wordpress.com, and then create a Blog Page for your site’s content. This would be available through dokterw.me/blog.
Alternatively, I can set your site’s Primary Domain to blog.dokterw.me, but then dokterw.me will just redirect to blog.dokterw.me, which doesn’t sound like what you want.
If you want dokterw.me and blog.dokterw.me to point towards different content and to act independently, it would probably be best to have them associated with different WordPress.com sites.
If I’ve misunderstood the issue, or if you have any other questions, please let me know.
