Using a domain I already own

Hi I already have a domain name from Go Daddy but I have not set up a website yet using that domain name, do I need to transfer anything if I use yourselves to create a website. I am new to this. Thanks Lucy

You’d need to subscribe to an annual Pro plan to connect your GoDaddy domain to a WordPress.com site.

As explained above, you’ll need our Pro plan. Then you have two options:
1) You can leave your domain registered at GoDaddy and just point it to us via our Domain Connection upgrade. This is included in the plan for as many domains as you want to connect:

2) You can transfer the domain registration to us so we become your domain provider. The plan includes one free domain transfer, and the transfer will also renew your domain for another year on top of its current term.
The plan does not include future renewals of the domain, so once it comes due for renewal again, you’ll pay that in addition to the plan.
