Using a domain purchased through WordPress?

I purchased domain registration and mapping through WordPress a couple of weeks ago (9th of March 2016), yet when I try to use the chosen domain name it says that the domain is not yet registered. The payment definitely went through and the purchase appears in my billing history with correct spelling, but when I go to add a domain it tells me that the one I purchased is still available to purchase again. Does it usually take several weeks for the domain address to be registered, or is there something simple that I’m missing? Any insight is much appreciated – I just wanted to get a blog up and running, I should have known that it seemed too simple to be true!

When you need staff help you can type “modlook” in the ‘tags’ side bar.Please do mention the domain url that you believe you purchased.

There was an error on our end that prevented the registration of the domain you purchased despite you being charged for it. Our apologies for that. We have credited you $34 to try and purchase nerdgoesnomad.com again without having to double pay.
