Using a "mirror" site to test changes to layout design, etc.
-
I would like to create a fully-function “mirror” site for my existing site http://www.lapdbluelife.com (on server Blue Host) so that I can apply different themes, widgets, etc. without changing the existing site and therefore folks access to it. This “mirror” site would not be accessible by the public but would be used to review layout changes and configurations; once I’m satisfied with them, I’d update the main site. Can I do this? If so, how? Thank you -Kevin

Hi, you are in the wrong forum.
This forum is for blogs/sites hosted in WordPress.com.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
And you should ask in the WordPress.org forum

galios is right. Here are a few links to get you on the right track:

@abreujamil: remember that in this forum we do not provide assistance to WordPress.org blogs. @lapddoc should go there and ask.

@galios I see, my apologies! I’m new here, and curious as to why that is. The Code of Conduct doesn’t really address it, though keeping people from habitually posting to the wrong forum makes perfect sense. However, I’m not seeing the harm in both letting people know that they are in the wrong forum for future reference and helping them along in their search for an answer. Forgive my newbie-ness!
