    using a paypal button on wordpress – Paypal only allows me to generate code for html, not email, for a add to cart payment button. Is there a way to put a payment button on my wordpress.com site?

    Hi,

    You can indeed add PayPal buttons to your WordPress.com site.

    I have been doing some investigating and have an idea as to why you might be unable to get the Email button code from PayPal.

    I logged in to my PayPal account and started creating a button. When I selected anything other than the Buy Now button type (in step 1), the Email code wouldn’t display. So it would be worth selecting that button type and seeing in the code appears.

    If you haven’t already seen it there is some useful WordPress.com documentation about PayPal buttons:

    • Get PayPal Button Code (I am aware that this says there are multiple options for button type!)
    • PayPal — covers adding PayPal buttons to your site

    Let me know if changing the button type helps or not.
