Using a Template from a Theme

  I have decided on a theme (Twenty Fourteen) and I would like to use the content of the Theme itself to play around with as a template. When I try to add a template, everything is blank and I need to start from scratch with putting content where it needs to be.

  Is there any way that I can add the example pages from the Theme and edit them myself? The theme is nothing to do with my site, but when I am trying to add content to replicate the look at feel of the examples in the Theme, it is nothing like the pages that I can see on the examples.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Sorry, just to clarify – I basically want my homepage and the content pages to look exactly the way that they do on the Twenty Fourteen Theme, but for me to edit the content to my own site.

  When I load it up, the content of the homepage looks completely different to that of the example on the Theme

  Note that Twenty Fourteen is quite outdated. There are some newer versions of this theme, compatible with our new editor, like Twenty Nineteen or Twenty Twenty.
