Using adfly links.
-
I’ve checked previous posts about adfly but they don’t answer a specific question I have. Is it against the ToS if I use an adfly link to legit sites. ie. I see a cool video on youtube and want to share it using an adfly link.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is only one advertising program called WordAds http://en.wordpress.com/apply-for-wordads/
Read these and find out why blogs get suspended:

You seem to be having a hard time in accepting the reality that no blogger initiated advertising is allowed on WordPress.COM blogs so here is the whole nine yards below.
No blogger initiated advertising is allowed on WordPress.com blogs. The only advertising program at WordPress.com is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
http://en.wordpress.com/apply-for-wordads/Advertising outside of WordAds at WordPress.com is not allowed.
http://support.wordpress.com/advertising/ Here’s what gets a blog suspended:
http://wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/suspended-blogs/
http://en.wordpress.com/tos/1. WordPress.com allows bloggers to insert text affiliate links within post and page content to most third-party affiliate programs, provided they are not the primary content of the site in question.
2. Image affiliate links in posts and pages and any banners, affiliate links in sidebar or footer widget areas, are still considered to be advertising and are not allowed on WordPress.com blogs.
NOTE: A self-hosted WordPress site might be right for you. WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

Hi again,
I tagged this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.What’s required is your patience as Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in chronological order based on datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.
How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.
Please don’t bump your thread here by posting into it again because it’s not in your best interest to post to it after it has been tagged for Staff help. Doing that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response.
While you are waiting you can read this https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-forums-community-standards?replies=1

Hi, I’ve read all the ToS and rules using affiliate links but I have a specific example. Can you tell me if this is allowed?:
Example.
I found a funny youtube video that is SFW. I write a short description of it and then link the youtube video through adfly. Is that allowed?

These are our affiliate rules
https://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/
If you use affiliate links in a way that follows these guidelines you will be fine.
That having been said, we don’t discuss terms of service issues in the forum, so I can’t give you a more specific answer than that.
