Using Adsense

I’m referring to the official WordPress.com website on the page ‘Monetize Your Site’
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/monetize-your-site/
“If you’d like to use third-party ad networks like Google AdSense, OpenX, Lijit, BuySellAds, and Vibrant Media, those options are available on the WordPress.com Business Plan. Sites on the Premium Plan and below are limited to WordAds.”

I AM on the Business Plan and have used Wordads for a few months now and received a few payments. I’ve encountered many problems with this program including ads disappearing, not loading & appearing in sections they should not. I’m starting to get irritated and want to move to Adsense.

My main questiona are: Will I find any huge problems when switching to Adsense? Will the program allow me to join even though I am on WP.com? Will the ads easily display on my site without having to add plugins?

Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi there,

Will I find any huge problems when switching to Adsense?

No. You wouldn’t face any problems if you plan to switch to Google Adsense.

Will the program allow me to join even though I am on WP.com?

    Yes.

Will the ads easily display on my site without having to add plugins?

It needn’t require plugins unless you have specific cutomizations in mind.

Google couldn’t care less whether your site is on WordPress.com or not. Whether or not you can join AdSense depends on whether you meet Google’s requirements, not on where your site is hosted.

You’ll be able to add the AdSense code to your site using a text widget, though a plugin might give you greater control. Please start a live chat at the link above so we can help you with this.
