Using app to create my web site

    I’m in the process of creating a new wordpress site hosted by siteground and using divi. When it’s ready I’ll be transferring my site from godaddy. I have this old wordpress account but need to be able to use the app on my iPad in addition to my desktop pd to work on creating the new web site. How do I do that? I want to eventually link my old blog to the new web site too.

    Hi there,

    Neither your Siteground site nor your GoDaddy site has any connection at all to this WordPress.com account you’re using to post here, nor is such a connection necessary to use the mobile app.

    To use those sites via the WordPress mobile app, tap on the My Site icon in the app and select the option to add a new site. Then you can add the site directly by typing in the URL and your admin username and password for that site.

    That said, you do have the option to connect the site to your WordPress.com account. Then it will automatically be listed in the mobile app if you sign in using this account.

    To create that connection, log into the site’s WP-Admin dashboard and install the Jetpack plugin from the Plugins screen. Once you activate Jetpack it will automatically take you through the process to connect it to your WordPress.com account.
