How can I delete posts but keep them archived?

  I want to delete posts but I also want them to remain archived. How?

  You can just switch a post to Draft again, and it will remain in your dashboard, but invisible to your visitors.

  Is there any way to make it visible to visitors? I find archives on other blogs that save posts for a year or more. Please advise

  The archives you see on other blogs are for posts that are published and have not been deleted. In order for visitors to be able to see your posts, they cannot be deleted and they must be published.
