Using both sidebars
-
I cannot figure out how to use the second sidebar. I have a three column set up, but it is only (on the back end) allowing me to use 1 sidebar. It doesn’t even list sidebar 2. Help. :) http://erictyoung.com/

There is no second sidebar. This theme has a right hand sidebar only. That’s why this “3 column” notation in the theme description is confusing.

You’re welcome and I’m sorry you had this perplexing experience. It seems the theme description for Monochrome needs to be amended so I’ll flag this thread and Staff can take care of that change.
Happy blogging. :) -
I’d argue that the theme, whilst only having one customisable side column (on the right), clearly has a left-hand column too, which contains the post meta.. I’ll discuss this with others.

I agree hith hanni: technically Monochrome is a 3-column theme. Three columns doesn’t necessarily mean two sidebars. Hemingway, for instance (labeled as 2-column) has two post columns and no sidebar.
But I also agree with timethief in that there are inconsistencies: if Hemingway is 2, then DePo Mastehead should be 3 instead of 1. And if Monochrome is 3, ChaosTheory should be 2 instead of 1.
