Using CSS to realign social media icons

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, I am trying to add different widgets to the social media section of my blog i.e. snapchat, email etc. and I was told to use the image widget and upload the picture since the social media widget supplied by wordpress only has a select few of social media platforms.

It has worked perfectly however I noticed that the icons are uploaded vertically on my site and not horizontally. I am not sure how to rearrange them to get them in a horizontal order.

I spoke with a Happiness Engineer and was told that it’ll probably come down to isolating the widgets that contain the newer images/links and writing a rule that changes their “display” attribute and probably their “float” attribute.

Can someone help me with this? I’m clueless…

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, when you are adding multiple icons, and want them in the same line, the best way is to create the code and put it into a single text widget. Trying to put the widgets into a horizontal arrangement would be very difficult. Here are some links to some of our support pages on using and creating the code to go into text widgets.

    Text Widget Links
    Linking Images

If you have any problems with this, please let me know, and if the alignment of the icons needs adjusting, we can do that with CSS. Give it a try and let me know.
