using custom domain but want to point it to tumblr instead

  I purchased a custom domain through WordPress but want the domain to point to ashaxmarie.tumblr.com instead of ashaxmarie.wordpress.com. However, Tumblr requires me to update the A-record to a specific IP in order to do that, and I can’t figure out how to do this on WordPress. (The A-record in the custom DNS on WordPress only works for subdomains.) How do I do this, or transfer the domain to somewhere else where I can do this?
