Using custom Twitter handle in Share feature
-
Does anyone know how to add a custom handle to the Twitter Share feature, so that shared tweets include our handle rather than @wordpressdotcom? I followed instructions found through the following link, but doesn’t seem to be working for me. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/. Instructions state:
“The Twitter sharing button is using “via @wordpressdotcom” but I want it to use my Twitter username.
To have your Twitter sharing button use your Twitter username you need to set up the Publicize feature.”Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To have your Twitter sharing button use your Twitter username you need to set up the Publicize feature: http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#twitter.
However, beware – I did this and now every single edit I make to a blog is automatically shared on all my social media site. See my question: How to stop auto updates to social media for every single blog edit.

Hello ddavismonsoon,
I am having the same problem you have stated above and I can’t seem to lose the “via @wordpressdotcom” and have my handle included. I just looked at your blog and it seems like you have figured out a way to have readers share via Twitter with your handle. Could you share how you fixed that?
Thanks a lot! -
