Using Deleted URL

    When I created my blog, I misspelled the name. Per some advice on your documentation site, I exported the old blog (annkathryrynroberts), created a new blog, and imported the XML file. The old blog had the URL I want (annkathrynroberts.wordpress.com). I thought when I (permanently) deleted the old blog, I would be able to use the URL on my new blog, but now I find out that it’s not WordPress’s policy to recycle deleted URLs.

    Since this URL has belonged only to me, I’m hoping an exception can be made, and I can assign the new, correctly-named blog (annkathrynroberts) to have the same URL as the old one (annkathrynroberts.wordpress.com).

    I’m sorry, but deleted blogs cannot be restored or reused.

    Deleting a blog is permanent and the name cannot be used again.
