Using desktop app with multiple accounts

I have two WordPress accounts, one is personal and the other strictly technical. I installed the WordPress desktop app on my Win7 Ultimate PC and it kind of works okay except for some glitches described in these forums.

However, I would like to be able to configure the app to use it with the two accounts. I was wondering if there was a command line switch I could use on the desktop shortcut to instruct it to use a particular account?

When I created them there was no possibility to have multiple blogs on the same account.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I do not have an answer for you. If it cannot be found here https://apps.wordpress.org/support/ then you will need a Staff response.

When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

At the moment there is no way to do sign into multiple instances of the app at once. This is on par with the WordPress.com browser interface where you also can’t sign into more than one account at the same time in the same browser session.

When I created them there was no possibility to have multiple blogs on the same account.

If you’d prefer to move all your sites under one username account, you can find the instructions to do that here:

Transferring a Site to Another WordPress.com Account

The only difficulty with doing that is that the same display name will appear on all sites registered under the same username. So if you want to keep those sites entirely separate, this might not be an option for you.

Having an in-app “switch username account” option would be awesome!
