There are 5 adms for our site; this is how we want it. I have created two gravatars for 2 of us, but it was so complicated and done by trial and error I can’t quite remember what I did. I know each has to establish and new email for each gravatar, sign out of the wordpress site and then sign back in……but how do you link the new email address with the newly created gravtar back to the original blog? Please list steps for me. This would be greatly appreciated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @kgkem,

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this issue. It seems like it’s been happening for a while. Thanks for reaching out again.

First, is the URL of the site in question: http://kggirlsblog.wordpress.com/ ?? That will help us as we work to help you.

Second, @chanthaboune tried to answer your question before at this post from May.

WordPress.com login information is used to log in to Gravatar. If the admin you’re updating the photo for has a WordPress.com account, then they can log in to gravatar.com and set their desired profile photo from there.

That advice is still true today, but I’m happy to try to guide you through it.

There is an about page for everything having to do with Gravatar. You can see it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/gravatars

One pertinent part of the page for you will be to log in one at a time as your other users (assuming you have their login information; if not, get it from them or have them do this process), then follow the steps to “Upload an Avatar” with these steps: https://en.support.wordpress.com/gravatars/#upload-an-avatar

So, please check back in with a confirmation of your URL and whatever issues you ran into as you try to setup the Gravatars for the three other admins on your site.

    Good luck!
    Jesse

    Hi there,

A “gravatar” refers to your profile picture. That picture is connected to your Gravatar.com/WordPress.com username account.

For someone to have a Gravatar, they first need to set up an account for themselves. The you can set a Gravatar from your profile page, here:

    https://wordpress.com/me/

    Gravatars

Adding secondary email addresses to your Gravatar.com account does not create new user accounts on WordPress.com – only the primary email address and associated Gravatar on a Gravatar.com account has a linked WordPress.com account.

There are 5 adms for our site

I only see 3 admins on http://kggirlsblog.wordpress.com/. If you are trying to add the other two, they first need to create their own accounts. They can do so without creating a new site at this link:

    https://wordpress.com/start/account/user/

Once they’ve created their own username accounts, any admin on the site can invite them by going to My Site ->People ->Add.

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/

I do want to caution you, though – admins can do anything on a site, including deleting the site completely. As a rule you shouldn’t have more than one admin on a site. If you need multiple people to be able to manage content on the site, rather consider adding them as editors or authors instead. You can find information on all the user roles here:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/
