using domain names as blog names
-
If I own a domain name, for example, XYZ.com, how can I use that as the name of my wordpress blog?
By the way, someone else is already using the “XYZ” portion of the domain name on WordPress, without the .com suffix.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can’t. Blog names are the same as usernames for the most part. Usernames can be turned into blog names, but blog names cannot be turned into usernames.

You could map your domain name to your blog here – base name (xyz.wordpress.com or xyz22.wordpress.com) does not matter

Thank you for the replies. I’m going to spend some time thinking about which alternative suits me best – either re-mapping or the sub-domain name. What I’m trying to achieve is being consistent – if I have a domain name that I’m trying to commercialize, get business from, I’d like my “personality” to be similar (if not the same) in other forums, like this one.
thank you again, Victor
