Using ‘edit timestamp’ to queue posts in advance
-
Hi — just wondering if anyone can tell me if I’m doing anything wrong. For a while now, I’ve been using the ‘edit timestamp’ function along with ‘post status’ set to published to queue up posts in advance so that I publish once a day at the same time.
It’s been working like a charm until the last week or so, but now my new posts aren’t appearing automatically. I have to go in and open the post and then re-save it before it appears on my blog.
Any ideas? Is there another way of queuing up a bunch of posts if, for example, I want to go on vacation and still have new content appearing every day?

Over the corse of the last week other bloggers have reported this problem as well. However, volunteers on the forum do not have backend access to blogs and cannot help you with this. You must send in a feedback to staff using the button located on the top right hand corner of any admin side blog page.

salamandrine: what I had been doing was setting the post status to ‘published’ and then hitting the ‘save’ button, rather than the ‘publish’ button. The posts would be published (show up on google etc) but would not appear on my blog until the time specified in the timestamp. That seemed to work fine until a few days ago.

well, I know that when i do that, i edit the timestamp and hit publish.
maybe you can try that and see if it works?

ordinarymagic: it’s going a bit wonky lately – my future post did not publish on time either. i’ve sent feedback and it was fixed. i have 2 more future posts lined up and i’ll see if the bug is still going on. you may want to send feedback, but staff has told me in reply to my feedback that they’re working on it at the moment.
